1811 – England
Sophia Crew is her family’s last hope. With an aging father no longer able to work and an ailing mother in need of medical care, Sophia must marry well or her parents will end up in the poor house. Or worse. Fortunately, she caught the eye of the second son of a wealthy baron. Now all she must do is travel to London for the marriage ceremony. But their coach is stopped, and Sophia is kidnapped by a highwayman. Even worse, the scoundrel proposes a bargain, one in which she will either be released to get married as planned, or she and her family will be ruined.
